After a couple of rocky years, the oil and gas market seems to be stabilizing. Part of that includes an increase in mergers and acquisitions. In late 2016, CNBC reported that “climbing crude prices, easing capital markets, and a gold rush in Texas’s prolific Permian basin are thawing a prolonged M&A freeze.”
